SEPARATION & DIVORCE MANAGEMENT COUNSELING SERVICES

Separation & Divorce Management Counseling helps you understand and appreciate the various stages of separation and divorce. We focus on teaching you the techniques and strategies of successful divorced dads. It is also very important to understand separation from the perspective of your child who ultimately wants peace in the family. These insights and skills can help you improve your communication skills, mediation strategies, negotiation methods with your ex-partner and it also improves your ability to articulate your concerns with your lawyer. Clarity can bring resolution.

Equally important is learning how to manage your natural fears, worries and stress more effectively. You'll learn how to observe the difficulties your children may be experiencing – enabling you to assist them with their own stress and anxiety. One important insight to be aware of is that most children-of-divorce cope to the same (or similar) degree as their parents are able to cope. The transitions that a family faces during separation and/or divorce are life changing and uncertain – this uncertainty is much more difficult for a child to understand and articulate, so they are relying on you – mom and dad – for help and guidance.

Divorce Management Counseling – if incorporated into your day-to-day thinking and communications – can enable you to articulate concerns with better clarity and accuracy. This can lead you to make much more informed choices and arrive at clearer decisions in part because you have a better understanding of the dynamics of the separation  and divorce process. You'll also learn how to benefit from becoming an educated consumer of Legal and Family Court Services.

Educating yourself is an excellent way to remove the "fear of the unknown" that most people feel when they enter a Court room – often it's their first time in a Court room. By reading the available information from different government agencies, familiarizing yourself with the Family Court in your area, attending at Family Court to watch hearings and procedures – the knowledge you gain can help reduce your fears.

A pro-active approach begins the divorce management process. We'll give you the tools that can help you deal with your stress and the associated “fear-of-the-unknown” concerns that everyone, not just dads, feel. Fear comes from a lack of knowledge and familiarity with the processes and options available to help you resolve your difficulties – educating yourself is an important step that can resolve these concerns dramatically.

Remember, your lawyer's role, as your advocate, is to give you legal advice and help represent your position when you are in Family Court and during negotiations.  Divorce Management Counseling will help you through the ups and downs of separation and divorce by giving you the tools, strategies and guidance that can be very effective in helping non-custodial parents realistically resolve conflict and successfully reach their goals.

Litigation is very costly and cannot solve all of your Divorce/Separation concerns or problems.  Many, but not all disagreement that parents face can be resolved with the use of good communication skills and strategies. We can guide you through the education process that can  improve your skills that so this transition can be easier, provided you are willing to use these skills as they are intended.

NOTE:  You do not have to be previously married or divorced to benefit from Divorce Management Counseling service. If you are a parent, in a co-parenting situation that is not working well, then this service may be the best way to find solutions to resolve the conflict. Your children deserve to have the benefits of your parenting and studies have shown that children cope to the degree that their parents cope – let us help you become the role model your children deserve. Separation & Divorce Management Services can assist fathers any where in the world.
